A trip to the Open Kitchen is typically a family outing, so it’s not uncommon to see three generations at one table.
  3. For a taste of the southeast stop by Mert’s Heart and Soul. After a plate of mac n cheese or sweet, buttery cornbread you’ll feel like you’ve just stepped out of mama’s kitchen. This is one of the most visited restaurants in Queen City.
  4. Known for their delicious craft beers on tap, the Rock Bottom Brewery has also gained a reputation for their delicious food. Among the favorite menu items are pizza, burgers, and anything else you’d want to wash down with a delicious brew. Note that the restaurant closes a few hours before the bar.
  5. Housed in a beautiful historic building in Uptown is a local favorite, Alexander Michael’s, or known locally as Al Mikes. This tavern-style restaurant serves fresh, locally sourced and unpretentious food. Their menu is accompanied by a beer and wine list that is just as impressive and tasty.
