Murphin Ridge Inn showcases a Guest House with 10 spacious rooms - some with fireplaces, some with porches - and nine romantic cabins, each with fireplace, two person whirlpool, two person shower and porch. All are decorated with handmade furniture created in the workshop of local artisan, David T. Smith. The 1828 farmhouse features three dining rooms with original fireplaces and our gift shop. Enjoy award-winning regional cuisine, in season, gathered from the Inn's gardens and neighboring farms. View the Appalachian foothills, enjoy the night sky by the bonfire, and visit local Amish Shops, the Edge of Appalachia Preserve, Serpent Mound State Memorial, and the Highlands Nature Sanctuary. The Inn has an outdoor pool, hiking, bird-watching, tennis, lawn games and more. Golf is nearby. Perfect for retreats, reunions, and conferences.

Food & Wine
The Spurgeon’s home, built in 1826, has been converted into a charming and intimate Dining House. Join us for dinner by candlelight in one of our three dining rooms. In the fall and winter, cozy up to the hearth, and in the spring and summer dine on the patio among the flower and herb gardens. Dress is comfortable and casual, but the food is elegant.
The restaurant is open to the public from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Inn guests staying Sunday and Monday are usually served dinner around 6:30 p.m.
Your stay at Murphin Ridge Inn includes a bountiful country breakfast, which is included in the price of your room or cabin. Lovingly prepared from scratch baked goods and delicious house specialties, such as Foggy Bottom Pancakes, Cream biscuits with Sausage Gravy, and Farmer’s Scramble. Inn made granola, fresh squeezed orange juice, and fresh fruit complete the menu. Breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30 a.m. every morning.
