Such an awesome place. Very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walk to downtown with an abundance of shopping and dining. Very close and convenient to Alligator River Wildlife Refuge, which is where we spent our time. What a beautiful place to visit. My family gathered in Manteo for the weekend, and we loved staying at the Tranquil House! Our rooms were comfortable and it was so nice being right on the waterfront. The staff was super friendly and helped us with advance planning for an event we had while we were there. The food and atmosphere at the restaurant, 1587, is great. They catered our event, and the food was outstanding.

Wow the restaurant was excellent. If you don’t spend the night at the hotel, but you are in town, you need to check out the 1587 restaurant. Excellent food only surpassed by the service. Our room was perfect. Comfortable, plenty of space, very clean. They serve wine and cheese in the lobby in the evening. Great job Tranquil House.
