The answer to this question is more about what you are hoping for in your North Carolina beach getaway! If you’re wanting to just lay on the beach, summer brings in fairly high temperatures, so it’s best to be right on the water from June through August! Think gorgeous fall colors are only found in New England? Think again! North Carolina is painted in reds, golds and oranges from late September to early October. The temperature is still mild in the winter, especially along the coast, so it’s perfect for meandering through some of our shopping districts.
