The Basics
The Inn on Putney Road is a charming six-room estate, constructed in 1929 in the French Baronial style. Our award-winning gardens are situated directly next to the West River and miles of walking trails, we’re also a five-minute walk from the downtown Brattleboro historical district, with all the shopping, theaters, and fine restaurants it has to offer.

The Inn On Putney Road is nestled amongst some of the most picturesque nature and walking trails in Vermont. The inn, styled after a French Chateau, is a relaxing and sophisticated inn located within walking distance of lovely historic Downtown Brattleboro.
Adjacent to conservation land and an estuary, the inn, with its beautiful landscaped gardens, features much of its original architectural detailing from from its 1930’s origination along with the modern conveniences you expect.
Each morning our guests enjoy a marvelous 2-course gourmet breakfast, with French press coffee or tea and a selection of juices. Our inn includes common areas with a fireplace, a vintage billiard table, and two conservatory rooms for you to use at your leisure.
Every guest room features its own private bathroom and many rooms include gas or electric fireplaces. We are located adjacent to the water and the grounds are directly accessible to over 17 miles of maintained hiking trails. Our formal gardens showcase one of the largest Japanese Maples in the United States. All guests enjoy free wifi, a flat panel TV and DVD player in each room, complimentary snacks and local sodas, and warm freshly baked cookies or pastries each afternoon.
In the backyard garden, enjoy your beverage in our waterfront gazebo or, in the evening on the deck next to the fire table.
