A historic gem nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks, The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn offers a rustic and elegant getaway from everyday life. Built in the late 1700s on seven acres of land, the inn is the oldest building in Lake Placid. Updated by the current stewards Stacia and Mike, the Inn has maintained its charm while adding touches of comfort and luxury for the distinguished traveler.

The Stagecoach Inn sits two miles northwest from the Olympic ski jumping complex and one quarter mile from the Olympic Training Center. Only minutes away from the village, rustic, but elegant, the Inn delivers its own brand of romance to guests. Featuring high end linens, Molton Brown toiletries and Pendleton blankets the Inn marries rustic Adirondack elegance with modern luxury. Our beautifully landscaped grounds, hiking trails and gardens offers guests a quiet private outdoor respite. We love to pay homage to the original beginnings of the Inn. The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn and the Town of Lake Placid New York have hosted two Olympic Winter Games, (1932 and 1980). During the 1980 Games the Inn was the “Home Base” for the CBS News Sports Team as they reported the “Miracle on Ice” USA Men’s Hockey Team’s Gold Medal Win. According to an 1878 journal The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn was where "…. Elections were held, people gathered for sport and horse trading, drank hard cider, and sometimes other liquids of a more stimulating character."

We know that an integral part of travel is great food and our Chef has crafted a menu sure to leave your taste buds tingling. Every morning begins with a french press of local Adirondack Mountain coffee or tea. Because we know what a treat it is to enjoy your first beverage of the day in bed, we are always happy to bring an early morning tray directly to your door. A decadent two course breakfast can be enjoyed either in your suite or in one of our many intimate distanced dining spaces.
We incorporate local Farm Fresh Eggs, Cheeses, Meats, Produce, Maple Syrup, Coffees, and Teas when available.
Homemade granola, yogurt, seasonal fruit, and honey are always on hand should you be in the mood for a lighter option.
We offer additional morning drinks or libations from our house bar of Espressos, Lattes, Irish coffees, Bloody Mary's, and Mimosas. See our in-house menu for full offerings, as things can change.

Egg roulade:
Soufflé like egg roll with a rotating variety of cheeses and seasonal fillings such as feta, goat cheese, gruyere, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, and roasted red peppers.
Carnitas Hash:
Sweet potatoes, red potatoes, caramelized onions and carnitas topped with two fried eggs.
Pecan Praline Baked French Toast:
Sweet bread dipped in egg, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon topped with a decadent pecan praline brown sugar topping.
Breakfast Burritos:
Stagecoach Burrito - scrambled eggs, spicy sausage, red and yellow peppers, caramelized onions, and cheese served with sour cream and salsa.
Mediterranean Burrito - scrambled eggs, sautéed mixed greens of swiss chard and spinach, with feta and white cheddar cheeses and red pepper all wrapped in a veggie tortilla grilled on the stove top.
Frittata:
A baked frittata filled with varied seasonal vegetables, topped with a roasted pepper, tomato, and garlic purée.

Poached Egg on an English Muffin topped with Homemade Hollandaise Sauce:

The Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn is intimately sized with three King Suites and two Queen Suites. Two of the King Suites have adjoining bedrooms to accommodate up to 5 guests. The Suites are furnished with Classic Adirondack decor and a luxurious Queen or King size bed complete with modern Egyptian cotton linens and Pendelton blanket. All Suites have an en-suite bathroom and offer wireless internet, modern electronics; Cubie Blue Charging stations and white noise machines along with a 32" flat screen television and DirectTV. In the warmer months all suites have AC. With each night booked, enjoy a Chef prepared two-course breakfast in any of our indoor or outdoor dining spaces. Our fully stocked House Bar offers guests a complimentary glass of house wine or beer every day between 5 and 6 pm. The property has concierge services, on-site yoga, outdoor firepit and a private path that leads to the Henry's Woods hiking trail system.

A booking is only confirmed once we have received a deposit equal to one-night stay and the guest receives a booking confirmation email. Only rates posted on our official website are guaranteed. Whole house rental must be paid 30 days in advance; premium date rentals also paid 30 days in advance.
*A deposit equal to one-night stay is required when reservations are made. Holiday and special event weekends may require a minimum stay.
