Blacksmith Inn On the Shore

The Blacksmith Inn and its staff exceeded our expectations. The largest choice of complimentary beverages I have seen at a Bed & Breakfast with quality cookies and popcorn. Breakfasts were excellent, delivered to room with hot items being hot, and cold items cold. Cozy yet spacious rooms, clean with great views. Friendly and helpful staff. Great value for the money. We would love to stay again.

We loved staying here for our babymoon! It’s clean, well kept, and the inn is full of personal touches that make it extra charming. We loved that you could preorder breakfast to have delivered to your room in the AM. The area has incredible food (Chive & Inland Pizza were our favs). WiFi could be better would be my only complaint.

Blacksmith Inn on the Shore is a beautifully-curated property on Door County’s Lake Michigan shore. As a first-time visitor to the peninsula, I was disappointed that the weather was cold and rainy for our week-long stay, but this was the perfect place to rest and enjoy such a charming space even if spending more time indoors. There were several unique touches that made us feel special and cared-for such as the indoor fireplace, the DVD shelf downstairs, and the fridge equipped with sparkling water, tea, and local juice selections. We looked forward to placing our breakfast order every evening and it was delivered right on time the next day. They also have a selection of kayaks and stand up paddle boards for guests to use right on the lake shore. Overall this was a very positive experience and we’d love to come back!
