This B & B was amazing. We stayed in January for the Winter Games. They really thought of everything! The homemade from scratch 3 course breakfast was very impressive. We opted for in room delivery which was delivered by the chef and host - Bridget- who was lovely. I also loved smelling the chocolate chip cookies baking in the morning and afternoon which were packaged and set out by the front door for guests to grab on the way out. We had a very comfy king bed with a full bathroom, a veranda and a whirlpool spa tub in the room. We are definitely going to be back! I bet the place is even more beautiful in the spring and summer!

An extremely comfortable inn with a great breakfast. My spouse and I drove up to Lake Okoboji for a winter getaway, and we were both delighted with our first stay at the Oakwood Inn. It's like a modern version of an old-time inn with cozy rooms featuring gas fireplaces. The common areas are inviting, and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. The innkeepers are welcoming and helpful. We intend to return and experience other seasons of the year at Iowa's "Great Lakes."

This is a beautiful bed & breakfast. The property is large and makes it feel like you are far from civilization, but in fact you’re only about 5 minutes from the amusement park and all of the shops, restaurants, and bars. This is a beautiful bed & breakfast. The property is large and makes it feel like you are far from civilization, but in fact you’re only about 5 minutes from the amusement park and all of the shops, restaurants, and bars. We only stayed 1 night and given the opportunity I would stay a minimum of 2 nights at this beautiful inn. The room was well appointed and we had a nice patio to sit and relax while overlooking the water feature. You are given the option to have breakfast in your room or in the dining room. We chose the dining room and I’m so glad we did. The dining room was and tables were so nicely set and made it feel very special. The breakfast was delicious! The hosts, Bridget and Bill were so nice. Upon checking in we were given a list of restaurants, bars, & shops in the area that the hosts recommended. I would definitely love to stay here again if we are ever in the area.
