We recently enjoyed a last-minute weekend getaway at Cedar Crest Lodge, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality from Faye, and thoughtful attention to detail throughout our stay. The meals were absolutely outstanding — beautifully prepared, delicious, and clearly crafted with care. Every bite felt special. Don't pass on the cookies and homemade cheesecake! The personal touches around the property and in our accommodations made the experience feel intimate and welcoming rather than just another stay away from home. And the views — simply breathtaking. No matter which direction we looked, we were surrounded by peaceful, scenic beauty that made it easy to relax and unwind. Several amazing packages are available. We selected the spa package, and it was so good, we each added another massage! If you’re looking for a quiet escape with exceptional food, attentive hosts, and stunning surroundings, this is the perfect place. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

My fiancé and I got married March 3 2026-it was perfect. We arrived late that evening, our dinner was in the refrigerator in the same building. They even had iced tea ready for us. Allowing us to microwave it in our room which had a dining table with four chairs. We had no problems with self check-in. We stayed in the Tuscan Manor suite, located in the cottage house across from the main building. There was nothing we wanted that wasn’t already there. They thought of everything. Ice and water machine, Keurig with pods. I don’t drink coffee, but my husband does and loved the machine. I enjoyed the homemade hot chocolate with marshmallows that was available. A two person Jacuzzi tub, two plush robes, a fireplace in front of a comfortable couch and a private deck with furniture. It was a rainy day when we got married so an outside ceremony was not possible. They arranged our marriage to be by the fireplace. They provided two tables, one for our unity candle, and the other one for communion. They changed or added anything that we wanted for our ceremony. The photographer knew exactly where to take the best shots outside. This was the best of both worlds inside and out. Emma was our main go to person. She prepared all our meals, made us feel welcome and if we needed anything, she was there. Everything she cooked was wonderful. Prepared to our taste and dietary needs. She arranged the table the night of our wedding to beautifully incorporating my wedding bouquet and Unity candle without evenly being asked. I can’t wait to see her again. We already booked a return trip in five months to stay in the same suite to see it in the summer instead Winter. Cedar Crest Lodge is a hidden gem in Kansas. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to get away, have a family reunion or get married. They are wonderful people.

If you're looking for a magical location to get away, this place has it all! We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were blown away by the food and hospitality. We even got a private tour on the hiking trails from Pepper, the owner's dog, after watching the sun rise. The food was so spectacular we purchased a cook book before we left. Hopefully we can recreate it! We stayed here in late February so only got to see some of the earliest spring flowers starting to pop up. We plan to visit again sometime in the spring or summer to see the property in its full beauty. The staff was outstanding, always kind and willing to take the time to answer any questions. I found Cedar Crest Lodge by complete accident day dreaming about a romantic giveaway that didn't take hours to get to. That had to be destiny, because after staying for the weekend in the winter I can say with certainty that I am excited to visit for years to come! The property, the staff, the food, the rooms, everything is so incredibly homey this is the perfect place to come and relax with a partner. Ms. Lara helped us the entire weekend and was more than accommodating to our crazy schedule changes the day of our arrival and was so sweet the entire weekend. Everyone we encountered was extremely kind and professional, I'm excited to come back when more of the warmer features are open. Most importantly, I was convinced I wouldn't find anywhere scenic or interesting enough in Kansas to want to plan a wedding. I was blown away when we walked the trails all the way out to the pecan grove and got to take a look around the surrounding forests and lakes. Now, I cannot wait to save up and plan an intimate wedding at the Lodge down at their grove location and hope to see it in lush greens the next time we visit.
