We’re about 95 miles west of Chicago (around 2.5 hours), 160 miles east of Des Moines (around 3 hours), and 175 miles northwest of Springfield. The nearest airport is Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ), about 25 miles away.
Tried the Suos-vide Lamb Shank today, been to the restroom 6 times since the time we left the restaurant till now 5 hours later. The service wasnt bad, although no one informed us when we made our reservation that we should reserve a specific table. Showed up right when they opened at 4pm and were sat near the door of the restaurant and denied a different table, because they were "reserved". Although only 1 other table was taken the whole hour we were there. Me and my wife didnt take our leftovers from either dish that was ordered, both of them were rough to eat and as im finding out even worse to digest. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, go get a burger from somewhere for cheap and save your money.

Great place for a romantic getaway. Breakfast delivered to our suite was yummy. We also dined in the restaurant: did not disappoint. Our suite was spacious and included a picture perfect view. All the staff was friendly and very welcoming. Definitely plan on returning

My husband and I stayed at the Goldmoor for our 10 year anniversary and couldn’t have had a better escape. The Inn struck a perfect balance of making us feel cared for (towel warmer in the bathroom, cookies each day we stayed) while setting up spaces that felt private and peaceful. We especially loved the balcony and watching the sun set over the land, and would love to come back again to this golden autumn paradise!
