Excellent experience. C is kind and full of great tips for exploring the area. The Inn is extremely well kept and cozy. Breakfast is awesome! Can’t recommend it enough.

Five stars isn’t enough!!!
The Lindenwood was the perfect finale to our 2.5-week leaf-peeping trip through Vermont and New Hampshire, ending in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Walkable to several restaurants, harbor view right out the back door, and Acadia National Park minutes away. Pool Bungalow (room #1) was spotless and quiet, with a comfy queen bed, spa-style bathroom, full kitchenette, table for two, den with fireplace, and a private outdoor area w/ fire pit we used day and night. We skipped the pool as it was fall but loved the hot tub.
The couple who bought the property in July have done an amazing job. They’re warm, friendly, and go above and beyond. Gourmet breakfasts are not to be missed, with a set menu daily plus specials. Honor bar and fresh Maine wild blueberry muffins daily, too. Parking is right outside, and our keys were waiting when we checked in on a Sunday after the front desk closed. Adults-only and perfect for a romantic getaway.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Inn. We were particularly impressed by the new Innkeepers, Diana and Svedamer, who were incredibly welcoming, kind, and accommodating throughout our visit.
Additionally, the breakfasts each morning were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed how fresh everything was, and the daily fresh muffins were a delicious highlight of our stay.
Thank you for providing such a delightful experience. We look forward to returning next year.

We just spent five nights, and we're shocked to discover that the owners, Diana and Tsvetomir, had only JUST recently taken assumed ownership of the Inn. They were so hospitable that it felt like they were both old pros that had owned the place for many years.
We stayed in room #3 which was simultaneously roomy and cozy. The water pressure was FANTASTIC, and it seemed liked there was no end to the hot water. In fact, we had to be careful to not make it too hot when showering.
We don't normally eat breakfast, but the breakfast each morning was too good to pass up, especially the quiches and lemon ricotta pancakes!
On the one day we had subpar weather, we spent the last few hours of the afternoon by the fireplace in the common area reading while drinking one of the many teas available. A delight!
If you're not familiar with Mount Desert Island, Southwest Harbor is known as "the quiet side" and for good reason. The pace is slow and there is almost no traffic, especially compared to Bar Harbor. There are still a lot of great hikes within a few short miles of the Inn, and if you want to venture into the Bar Harbor side of the island, it is an easy 20-30 minute drive. We did this several times, and it never felt like a chore to go the busier side.
While there are only a handful of shops and restaurants in Southwest Harbor, you can easily walk to them from the Inn.
All-in-all, we loved our stay at the Lindenwood Inn and hope to make it back there one day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Inn has just been taken over by new owners who can't be anymore helpful and accommodating. Diana's made to order breakfasts were amazing. The location is an easy drive to all the places you want to see in Acadia. I can not recommend this place enough. We can't wait to return.

We stayed for two nights last week in the penthouse room. Wow, probably the nicest room we’ve stayed at. We had our own large private deck outside with fire pit and private hot tub. The inside was the whole 3rd floor with all the amenities, fireplace, kitchenette, huge shower. Diana and “C” were the most gracious hosts, a wonderful couple and a gorgeous place.
