Stay for the Story

The inn was built in 1791 as a family home, but it’s been an inn since 1845. You’ll see our origins wherever you look. Walking through you’ll find exposed beams and period furniture. St Augustine loves its history. As its oldest inn, we fit right in.

The breakfast was always terrific and the social hour was a very nice touch. We met some terrific people and enjoyed the conversation…it was like meeting old friends. We will DEFINITELY return! Our only regret was that the cat did...See More

We stayed at Sailor's Rest in the 1894 House. It was incredible - very clean, spacious, and private. We were thrilled to have our own assigned parking place. We spent time relaxing on the small private porch on the side of the house several evenings after exploring Saint Augustine during the day. We loved being immersed in the history of both the Inn and the 1894 House. Both are...See More

My husband and I celebrated our ten-year wedding anniversary in St. Augustine, and staying at St. Francis Inn was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. After reading reviews for several hotels, I came across this charming inn and was immediately captivated by its rich history and incredible list of complimentary amenities. It honestly felt too good to be true. The inn, built in 1791, is full of...See More

The Ballerina Room was comfortable and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The meals and happy hour choices were fantastic, not to mention how delicious the nightly desert selections and wine were. We felt welcomed from the time...See More
