A beautiful inn in a beautiful location. We had the Giles Brent room, with windows looking out over the water, all the way to Chesapeake Bay where we could see the large freighters on their way up to Baltimore. We spent time admiring the gardens, sitting on benches at the far end of the pier, watching an osprey family from the deck a few steps from our room. The...See More

What a beautiful property to enjoy some rest and relaxation. We stayed here for a wedding taking place in St. Mary's county but wish we could have stayed for a few more days. What a beautiful property to enjoy some rest and relaxation. We stayed here for a wedding taking place in St. Mary's county but wish we could have stayed for a few more days. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the water. We had to get up very early to leave for my child's lacrosse game and the owner was up to send us off with some muffins and delicious coffee despite breakfast not being served for another two hours. To top it all off, I left my watch and a phone charger in the room and Gerald was kind enough to ship it to me the very next day and refused to accept any payment for it. My wife and I cannot wait to get a chance to return!

A perfect, quiet, romantic getaway. The innkeepers have traveled the world, and their travels have influenced their gracious inn. Swans are found throughout the inn along with history and lovely tucked away places to enjoy the water views. Go to relax and read.
