This is one of those unique places, and it is about the experience and how different this place is compared to a normal hotel. Definitely cost more, but it's worth doing once. If you are old structures or into antique guns, it is a great place. Rooms make it special, too. Having dining available and a bar just makes it easier to just stay on the grounds and Having...See More

What an amazing place to visit and stay! I can't say enough good things about the level of hospitality and care the employees put into making sure you have a pleasant stay here. Everyone is so accommodating and friendly, and they work so hard to make your stay special. We stayed in Miss Melanie's room, which was immaculately clean, quiet, and had beautiful views. When we arrived, we were...See More

My husband and I had an incredible time celebrating our 10-year anniversary at Tara A Country Inn. This hidden gem perfectly captures the charm of the Gone with the Wind era with its unique antique ambiance and décor. Every employee expressed genuine southern hospitality, making us feel warmly welcomed and pampered. The indoor and outdoor pools, hearty breakfast, billiards room, and antique bar created an ideal blend of a...See More

Tara - A Country Inn was recommended to us & was a spur of the moment trip. We are so glad we went! The mansion is beautiful with period decor and a Gone With The Wind theme. The Stonewall Tavern was part of the underground railroad. Stay for dinner and you may be lucky enough to sit right where the stairwell used to be. Betsy is a wealth of...See More

What a fabulous reminder of Southern hospitality and charm, reminisce of the beauty of days gone by. The Inn keeps it special with each room having its own theme, the afternoon tea, the evening cocktail hour (the spiked punch is addictive!), and the morning breakfast in beautifully decorated rooms. The whole house has been named appropriately as it focuses on the many pieces the owners obtained over the years...See More
