Guest Reviews

My partner and I had a wonderful vacation on Catalina, but the Avalon hotel made our trip truly exceptional. If I could give the staff six stars I would. They were very friendly and knowledgeable, and always remembered who we were. The room felt luxurious but still homey. The view from the rooftop veranda couldn't be beat. We will definitely stay there again.

I booked a stay at the Avalon Hotel on beautiful Catalina Island for my husband’s birthday, and it was perfect from start to finish. We arrived early after our jet ski tour, and not only was our room ready, but the staff had also surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne and a birthday card—such a thoughtful touch! The entire team was warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. The...See More

Charming, small boutique hotel just a half-block from the Avalon waterfront. The view from the rooftop is outstanding. Rooms are comfortable and perfectly outfitted. Staff couldn't be more courteous and helpful. Breakfast on the garden-surrounded patio is a wonderful way to start your daily Santa Catalina adventure.

10! The bathrobes were fabulous. We sat out on the balcony in our robes early in the morning on the outdoor recliners watching the day's sunrise gently, peacefully and ever so slowly replacing the starlight over the sea. We had an amazing time of sharing with each other. It was if time stopped just for us on that balcony. For those that drink there’s a bar with refrigeration on...See More

I had an amazing stay at this hotel on Catalina Island. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The amenities (rooftop view was amazing) and breakfast were excellent, and the location couldn’t have been better—close to everything but still peaceful and relaxing. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again!
