Stay for the Story
The historic Leland Lodge has been the soul of the quaint, lakeside village of Leland for a century. Charming. Sophisticated. Neighborly. The Lodge is entrenched. The Lodge is not just in Leland – it is FOR Leland.
Here are a few things to sip & savor when you visit…
The Wine Cellar in the lobby has an ever-changing menu and reflects only the freshest products available from the lakes, seas, & farms. (Seasonal)
In the lobby, overlooking the golf course, Bogey's is a casual sports gastro pub that is a long-time favorite of locals, tourists, and cottagers.
A few steps away is The Cove, in Leland's Historic Fishtown, overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands.
Here are a few things to see & do when you visit…
Explore Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and take the Ferry from the Leland Marina to the Manitous Islands.
Visit the famous Mackinac Island where time slows down. Automobiles are prohibited and horse-drawn carriages are the main mode of transportation.
Sip and savor the wine in Michigan's Wine County. There are over 28 wineries in the area around The Leland Lodge.

My friend and I came here for a summer getaway and could not have had a more lovely time. It was the nicest lodge we had ever stayed at. The property is stunning. We had so much fun walking easily to downtown and the beach. The breakfast was wonderful and it was clear to see how much effort was put into doing every little aspect of hospitality with care....See More

The Leland lodge is tucked off a side street of the main one. We walked to Fishtown. We loved our room ( 206) balcony . The room was spacious and very clean. Nice welcome bag in your room. They offer complimentary drinks in their fridge. I was so happy to have Vernors. The breakfast is included and was good egg bites, bagels toast muffins fruit coffee cereal !

The view of the golf course during dinner was gorgeous. Bogey’s bar was a fun atmosphere. Luke & Henry were helpful in choosing ciders. The customers too just plain friendly ! This would be the only place I will come to in the future when visiting “ home “ from SC. You will not be disappointed.

The grounds were pristine, and the beautifully maintained landscaping drew us outside where the fun of summer awaited. Whether taking a bike ride or a walking into town to the shops or the beach, we were just minutes from everything. When we chose to stay in, there were fresh, seasonal offerings in the restaurant and bar. Thanks to General Manager Brian and his staff for an amazing experience. We can’t wait to return for another visit in the Fall. See you soon!

If I could give six stars, I would give those. First: the silence and the atmosphere of the Lodge. Amazing. Second: the kindness of the staff. Third. The restaurants. I tried the Wine Cellar and it was super. Fourth. Room was perfect: super clean, cozy, relaxing. Fifth. In few steps you are on the beach, looking to fantastic sunsets.
