The town of Millbrook itself is also very cute with a charming bookstore and some good restaurants.

This is a lovely bed and breakfast - exactly what you would picture and hope for in terms of a country inn for a weekend or overnight getaway. The woman who worked there was lovely and we had a great dinner and breakfast at their restaurant (breakfast was included, dinner at the restaurant is optional). You do have to drive a bit to get to any activities/sights but the property itself is nice so you could spend time there. We happened to go on a rainy weekend and they had a cozy fire set up downstairs in the common living room so it was a nice space in which to just read and relax. Kent, CT and Rhinebeck, NY are both about 40 min away (in opposite directions) so they are doable for an excursion from Millbrook (both drives are scenic but on very windy backroads). But the inn is so lovely you probably will want to enjoy time in your well appointed room or the nice common spaces! And again, a bonus that you can have a yummy farm to table dinner without leaving the property!

Wow! A true hidden gem. The Inn is off the beaten path, which adds to its allure. The building is beautifully restored with New England charm. Intimate tables for dining. Rooms are appointed with antiques and gorgeous textiles. Bathrooms are modern and spacious. Great for a romantic weekend or small event.

Stayed here for a weekend wedding and everything was absolutely perfect. We don’t frequent B&Bs often but the MBI was a gem. Room number 9 has a large balcony, room was private and luxurious, faced a small country street so everything was very quiet.
The staff was small and incredibly friendly, food and wine selection was top knotch, and service felt personal and high-end.
