We dined here for breakfast as we were staying at a sister hotel and the service was terrible. Took 30 minutes just to get acknowledged at our table to even get water and place our order. Food was also not good, cold.

Tonight My wife and I went to dinner at The Settlers Inn for the first time.
It was 5pm and were the second party to be seated. The restaurant was not very crowded at this time.
We ordered Crabcake and Calamari as an appetizer and ordered a burger rare and one well done one with fries and one with a salad.
We waited over an hour to be served by a waitress who seemed to be annoyed we were there and had a perpetual scowl on her face. She didn't even introduce herself as is customarily done.
My rare burger was served well done and my wife who ordered hers well done was served a burnt to cinders burger. The so called salad, which she substituted the fries for, came with some sort of greens, no lettuce or onion or tomato and not even some type of dressing. Needless to say, she was extremely dissatisfied. I will say though that while we waited for our food we did notice a waiter who was treating his guests like they should be treated, very attentive and courteously. We spoke to the gentleman before we left and he said his name was Daniel, we told him we were very impressed with how he was running from table to table to ensure his guests were happy and if they needed anything. We informed him that if we ever returned we would specificly as for him. This was a far cry from what we received from our waitress. Management needs to remind their staff how to act appropriately to service industry standards. And as for Daniel, he should be commended for his exemplary attention to detail for his guests.
Dear God this place is exorbitantly expensive for what you receive. The food is a solid ‘meh’ . I have no idea how they stay in business in this area with manhattan prices and Honesdale quality. Go somewhere else.

Breakfast was not even edible on Tuesday sept 22 .. I am from the area and took out of town friends. We should have left but felt uncomfortable and were nice enough to pay instead. I told the guy that the potatoes were hard, and nothing was mentioned.
