Three Little Bears Retreat

An Unforgettable one-of-a-kind mountain retreat. We recently visited Three Little Bears Retreat to celebrate my partner’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this is far more than just a place to stay. It’s an extraordinary, highly personalized experience that truly immerses you in the magic of the Smokies. The customization here is unmatched. With the help of the staff we were able to curate our own adventure from an incredible list of options. Everything felt tailored specifically to what we wanted out of our getaway, including whitewater rafting, e-bike riding, hiking, and moments of stillness to immerse ourselves in the music and majestic splendor surrounding us. The chef-driven camp cookery and elevated Appalachian dining were absolute perfection. Every meal was fresh, local, beautifully prepared, and easily another highlight of our day. We appreciated their eco-friendly ethos and genuine kindness to nature woven into every detail. Matt and his entire staff share a deep respect for the surrounding wilderness and together they have tons of mountain experience and knowledge to share. If you are looking for a tailored, luxurious, and eco-conscious retreat where you can build your dream mountain stay, this is the place to go.

We stayed at the retreat for 4 th of July weekend with family. Our favorite activity was watching fireworks at the lodge. The house was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed hiking to waterfalls, tubing down the river, and white water rafting.

We had an amazing mountain getaway and so glad we chose Three Little Bears Retreat! For starters, the staff was so helpful and friendly. The communication by the team was outstanding. We arrived late and our dinner had been delivered to our cabin right before arrival! It was so nice after a busy day and delayed arrival to be so well cared for! Our included favorite excursions were a 5-waterfall hike and brewery tour. The views were breathtaking! A second day of hikes and more spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains. An evening of music with a wonderful backdrop of mountains completed our stay. The food exceeded expectations with a variety of dishes and was catered to any dietary needs. By the way, I highly recommend the pecan muffins which were part of our breakfast spread and the rainbow trout, BBQ, and bananas foster for the dinners! It really was a gourmet experience. The cabin was perfectly secluded for a getaway weekend and included a hot tub, outdoor shower and a great front porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the morning cup of coffee. We look forward to returning soon!
