The Basics

SELECT REGISTRY MEMBER SINCE 2023

Originally constructed in 1790 for the Cuthbert Family, this antebellum-style home served as a residence during the summer social season. While welcoming visits from other prominent families and political figures, their refreshing retreat along the bay was perfectly situated to capture cool, gentle coastal breezes. Over time, the home has been lovingly preserved and meticulously restored into the grand, historic inn it is today.

Bikes are included and it is located on the riverfront within walking distance if restaurants and shopping in Beaufort. The staff was lovely and attentive. They have a happy hour with delicious appetizers and wine, beer or champagne. Delicious artichoke dip, grilled carrots, puff pastry with jam and goat cheese. Large, comfortable...See More

We stayed in the Mariner Suite. It was recently renovated (I think all rooms were). The two bedrooms were great. Amazing bedding and a beautiful huge walk in shower! My wife has difficulty with stairs...See More

The remodel was well done, with comfortable rooms, beds and completely renovated modern bathrooms. The owner and staff are very friendly and promote that atmosphere among its guests. Continental breakfast is filling and afternoon refreshments include wine, tasty bites and conversation with the...See More

Wow - what an amazing experience. The Cuthbert House completely exceeded expectations. It was more like staying at a small luxury hotel than an inn. The service and amenities demonstrate a great attention to detail. The bedding and furnishings are top quality. And the decor throughout is elegant and graceful. T he owners are present and welcoming and seem to genuinely enjoy spending time with their guests.

Stayed in the Federal room. Beautiful views, access to a porch, and wonderful furnishings. Upon arrival, I was provided instructions on operating thermostat, beverages, coffeemaker, and the room lock. There are multiple rooms for visiting, socializing and eating the wonderful breakfast. I can't say enough about the wonderful snacks, social hour hors dorevres and treats provided by Cuthbert during my stay. There was never a shortage of delectable delights....See More
