The Basics

SELECT REGISTRY MEMBER SINCE 2023

Originally constructed in 1790 for the Cuthbert Family, this antebellum-style home served as a residence during the summer social season. While welcoming visits from other prominent families and political figures, their refreshing retreat along the bay was perfectly situated to capture cool, gentle coastal breezes. Over time, the home has been lovingly preserved and meticulously restored into the grand, historic inn it is today.

Don’t second guess staying at the Cuthbert House. The service couldn’t have been better. They made us feel at home even making us a special treat when we couldn’t make breakfast. Shannon sent me a message and shipped it to me when I forgot a personal item. The bed was so super comfy that we didn’t want to leave, and the scenery and walkable Beaufort location was the best...See More

The staff was so friendly and pleasant and they just made us feel like we were actually just staying over at their house. I couldn't recommend this place enough and if you are in the...See More

Karen and Mary were terrific hostesses! Room was great and quiet to be on Main Street of town (a block or two from main businesses) but still a wonderful venue. And their concierge service in setting us up for three terrific dinners at nearby restaurants (which were all terrific!) and carriage tour our first morning were way above and beyond. Breakfasts were not to be missed either. Eggs frittatata,...See More

We received a gift card from our children for Christmas to the Cuthbert Inn. Our rooms was beautiful with a gorgeous view of the bay. Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

Love! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back! The rooms were gorgeous, breakfasts were delicious and the social hours were so much fun! Julie and Karen were wonderful hosts - it was so nice to meet them and they’re perfect for this job! Beaufort downtown is right next to the house, and nice to walk around. Great spot for a low key, relaxing getaway.
