Amazing place! Withing walking distance to everything. The rooms are beautiful and full of history. The staff is so nice it doesn't feel like an inn it feels like coming to a friend's home, they are so friendly. Natalie is the best!! Maurice brought our breakfast on the courtyard and he was so kind. Highly recommend staying here.

Loved our stay. Staff was incredible. Very helpful suggesting places to see and eat, making reservations. Room and breakfast staff were charming and kind. Could ask for a better location to shop, eat, and site see.
I want to give special recognition to Brian, the concierge, for providing us with one of the best customer service experiences we have ever had. From the moment we spoke with him, he was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely interested in making our experience memorable.
Brian went above and beyond simply answering our questions. He shared fascinating history about the city, gave us helpful information, and was extremely knowledgeable about the area. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does and takes pride in making guests feel welcomed and taken care of.
His professionalism, personality, and exceptional level of service really stood out to us. Brian is an incredible asset to the hotel, and he absolutely deserves to be recognized for the experience he provides to guests. Thank you, Brian, for making our visit even more special!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the John Rutledge House Inn. The property is absolutely beautiful, full of history, and exceptionally clean. Our rooms were outstanding and very comfortable.
Bryan and Natalie were fantastic—welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond throughout our stay. We especially enjoyed hearing the history of the house from them. The breakfast was excellent, and afternoon tea with snacks was a really nice touch that our family enjoyed.
The combination of a beautiful historic property, great food, spotless rooms, and exceptional hospitality made this a truly memorable stay. We highly recommend the John Rutledge House Inn and will absolutely stay here again when we return to Charleston!

Five out of five all across the board! We were here for a weekend but absolutely loved our stay! The location is the perfect spot to be within walking distance of great shopping and dining! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was amazing as well! It was our first time to Charleston, and I know we will be back staying here again!
