We stayed for two nights and it was fabulous. Our room (The Lexington) was spacious, very clean and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was well stocked. Small extras like chocolate by the bed and a refrigerated water pitcher really made the stay that much better. The breakfast alone is worth the stay. We appreciated Sandra and her recommendations for local activities and places to go. We will be returning!

My husband and I stayed at Steeles Tavern Manor for a romantic fall getaway, and it was such a wonderful experience! The property is beautiful, the accommodations are cozy and inviting, and the attention to detail is truly what sets this bed and breakfast apart.
Everywhere we looked, there was another thoughtful touch. From the plush robes, cozy fireplace, and jetted soaking tub to the bath salts, makeup towels, and fully stocked basket of toiletries, they really have thought of everything. There were even individually packaged toothbrushes, shaving kits, sewing kits, a glass water carafe, and chocolates waiting for us. These may seem like small things, but together they make such a difference. It felt like staying somewhere that genuinely anticipated our needs rather than simply providing the basics.
We also appreciated the personalized breakfast selections and the wealth of local information provided, including maps, recommendations, and ideas for exploring the Shenandoah Valley.
And the breakfast deserves its own recognition! Absolutely amazing, freshly prepared, and delicious. It was easily one of the highlights of our stay and such a lovely way to start the morning.
The manor itself is beautiful, with charming historic character, lovely grounds, and comfortable spaces to relax. It was exactly the peaceful, romantic atmosphere we were hoping for.
It’s rare to find a place where so much care has been put into both the big things and the smallest details. Steeles Tavern Manor exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!

A little slice of home away from home, truly. From the initial and continued contact with inn keeper Sandra, mornings with Ann for breakfast service, to the housekeepers--all so pleasant and accommodating. Conversations were warm and honest. The morning homemade to order breakfast (freshest local ingredients) and the homemade baked goods were top notch! The coffee/tea bar was pleasantly stocked with snacks. Thank you for every single detail that's put into the inn; it's obvious how well thought out this place is!! I would visit and stay there anytime. Don't hesitate and stay at STM!!

Sandra makes you feel you belong and are home. The food is delightful. Beautiful grounds with fire pit, pond, pool, and fun to "talk" to the chickens! Schedule a massage if want to be in a heavenly state.
