Guest Reviews

One night stay for the Christmas parade. Perfect location. Since there were no guests the night before we were able to check in early, shop, have lunch, a nap, and then the parade. This room faces Caroline Street so you do get some Street noise during the night. We very much enjoyed our stay, the staff were wonderful we were even greeted before we made it to the front...See More

We enjoyed our stay at this historical Bed & Breakfast. The staff were all genuinely welcoming and informative. The breakfast and seating areas had books, art, and decor suited to the Inn; and the food was very good. The location is convenient, with parking at the premises and numerous locations for dining within walking distance. I removed one star for our room. Our room was large and clean with...See More

This was our second stay at the Richard Johnston Inn this year, and we had a great experience both times. The staff is top-notch and very knowledgeable about the area/local events and did a great job accommodating my food allergies. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. We also love the private outdoor patio in the back and Riverfront park just across the street. The location is ideal...See More

Very charming, small Inn right in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg. The rooms are lovely and comfortable (many have a soaking tub), the dining and living rooms are beautiful, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets for chilly nights. And, in an almost unprecedented move, they provided ample towels! As a person with long hair, I so...See More

I stayed in The Old Town room right at the top of the Richard Johnston house. If you like top-floor accommodations than this is a good choice; and has a private bathroom. The staff and the food were great, and private parking is always a plus. I enjoyed my stay here this past November and look forward to staying here again sometime in the Spring of next year.
