This 178,926 square foot mansion was constructed by George Vanderbilt in the late 1800s and features 65 fireplaces, an indoor pool, and a bowling alley. Tours

The Biltmore Estate offers a wide range of guided and self-guided tours for guests to enjoy. From the main house and winery to the sprawling estate grounds, each tour will immerse you in the history and atmosphere of Biltmore. All guided tour prices are in addition to estate admission. Did you know there are more than a dozen dining options at the Biltmore Estate? The menus even feature fresh produce, meat, and wine from the estate itself! Feel free to grab lunch at the Conservatory Cafe, or stop by The Bake Shop for coffee and something sweet. You can also make reservations for dinner at a romantic bistro or tavern. Whatever you choose, we promise your Biltmore culinary experience will be unforgettable.

Recreation

If you want to know what it’s like to have an 8,000-acre backyard, now is your chance to find out! Carriage rides, horseback riding, and river float trips are just a few of the outdoor activities offered at the Biltmore. There are also a variety of activities that don’t require reservations, including one-hour bike rentals and Land Rover adventures. Guests may embark on their next adventure from the Outdoor Adventure Center at Antler Hill Village. Call for details and reservations.

1. Andon-Reid Inn Bed and Breakfast: The Andon-Reid Inn is a restored 1902 home in Waynesville with four suites and three guest rooms. Guests are treated to a freshly prepared breakfast and homemade afternoon dessert each day.
