The Art of Heritage Cooking

In 2015, UNESCO designated Tucson as the first City of Gastronomy in the U.S. because of “the region’s rich agricultural heritage, thriving food traditions, and culinary distinctiveness”. Join Carolyn Niethammer, cookbook author/writer/chef, in the Armory Park Inn kitchen for a hands-on experience creating a meal and signature cocktail made with ingredients native to the Desert Southwest.

Includes:

One 2 ½ hour cooking lesson and meal in the API kitchen and a Signature API Prickly Pear Paloma
An Armory Park Inn monogrammed apron
An autographed copy of Carolyn’s latest book, A Desert Feast: Celebrating Tucson’s Culinary Heritage, released just this past September
A gift basket to include all the key ingredients for our signature cocktail, the API Prickly Pear Paloma (Patron Silver Tequila, Cheri’s Prickly Pear Syrup, two hand-etched Rose Anne Hall Design margarita glasses)
Cost: $250 per person
