The Basics
Courtwood Inn is a cedar log lodge on five acres, just two miles from the center of Murphys. To reach our hilltop B&B, you’ll travel the last half mile on a bumpy gravel road. But it’s worth it for the amazing view and peace and quiet of the setting. Our property also boasts two championship tennis courts for guest play and lessons. And you can book a relaxing massage for afterward in our massage room.

Welcome
Courtwood Inn Bed and Breakfast is a recently constructed log lodge. The public areas and guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, with expansive views. Each mini-suite has a Jason Microsilk hydrotherapy tub, double sinks, a California king bed, luxury linens and a private outdoor deck, patio or balcony. Located in Murphys, aka "Queen of the Sierras," the quaint historic gold country town is known for its award-winning wines produced in the area. Consistently rated as one of the best places to stay in Murphys California, there are excellent restaurants, shopping experiences and many tasting rooms on Main St. Murphy's is an up-and-coming bed and breakfast California destination.
For the adventurous, there are lakes, hiking trails, cave tours, Calaveras Big Trees, plus winter skiing, all nearby the Courtwood Inn. Two inn tennis courts are available for play and lessons from our award-winning innkeeper/pro. Our "Signature" rate includes afternoon wine and cheese and a full breakfast. We feature organically grown fruit from our garden and incorporate it into the menus. Fresh baked goodies await your return after dinner out.
