The Basics
Built as a replica of Mount Vernon, George Washington Inn is strategically located on a high bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the north and the majestic snow-capped Olympic Mountains to the south. The Olympic National Park, with its rain forest, waterfalls, hiking trails, lakes and beaches is nearby; and the moderate climate makes the Olympic Peninsula a desirable destination year-round. All five spacious, luxuriously appointed rooms are “fit for a President.”

Welcome
George Washington Inn sits on a high bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the north and a pristine view of the majestic Olympic Mountains of Washington to the south. The lights of Victoria, British Columbia, twinkle across the water at night, and ships sail by on their way to sea. Bald eagles soar overhead or perch majestically in the treetops. Deer stroll across the lawn, and pheasant and quail make an occasional appearance. During spring and fall migration, whales may even be seen. Built in 2007 as an exterior replica of George and Martha Washington's Mount Vernon in Virginia, the fully-modern spacious king rooms offer luxury fit for a president. Relax in your private two-person spa tub, cozy up in front of the all-season fireplace, and then drift off to sleep under the rich cotton linens that grace the beds. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, a large DVD library, and 24-hour coffee, tea, and cookies. With a lavender farm sharing the property, a wide variety of lavender products handcrafted by the innkeepers are available in the Inn's gift shop. The full hot breakfast, prepared from scratch each morning, showcases the diversity of culinary lavender. Although easily accessed via highway from Seattle or ferry from Victoria, and located just minutes from Sequim and Port Angeles at the gateway to the Olympic National Park, George Washington Inn offers a peaceful quietness in a country setting that beckons you to step back in time and relax.

The Inn's complimentary full hot breakfast is served each morning and frequently showcases the diversity of culinary lavender grown on our farm. Start with a cup of our own roasted George Washington Coffee, or choose your favorite tea. Fresh local fruit is served in season, followed by fresh-baked made-from-scratch breakfast breads topped with homemade jams and jellies, and breakfast meats and eggs combined in a variety of entrees. Breakfast is served in the enclosed ocean-view piazza on the main floor throughout the summer months and around the main dining table in the winter.

Rooms & Suites
Four of the five guest rooms are located upstairs on the second floor of the Inn with private baths and breathtaking views from every window. The Surveyor's Retreat and Mount Vernon Retreat are entered through the main front door of the Inn and have a majestic mountain view from the bedroom. The General's Suite and Presidential Suite each have their own private entrance that leads up the stairs to a convenience kitchen/seating area with small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. These two deluxe suites have mountain views from the windows in the seating area and ocean view from the bedroom. Located on the ground floor, Martha's Suite also has ocean view from the bedroom and offers a semi-private daybed for an optional third guest in the room. All five of the guest rooms are large king rooms with luxury cotton linens, two-person spa tubs, showers, all-season fireplace, large HDTV, and small refrigerator. Also included in all five rooms are free Wi-Fi with high speed internet, blow dryer, iron and ironing board, luggage racks, extra pillows, bathrobes, slippers, and guest amenities. The second-floor ocean-view veranda runs the full length of the building and is available to all guests. Breakfast is served in the enclosed ocean-view piazza on the main floor throughout the summer months and around the main dining table in the winter.
