This inn exceeded expectations in every way. It is beautiful and a perfect mix of nostalgia and modern. The sitting room, game room and breakfast area were lovely and welcoming. Coffee and tea and homemade cookies whenever needed!

I stayed in the carriage house and was surprised to be greeted with lush robes, a throw blanket, maple soda and a pitcher of water in the frig, a basket of healthy snacks, and all the necessary toiletries. A notebook where people recorded their experiences was a great touch! Room was comfy. TV offered all the channels I could want.
Breakfast was absolutely incredible! French press coffee, amazing potatoes, various courses - everything was just delicious.

We had such a wonderful say at the Inn on Putney Road. Not only was our room super comfortable, but the staff was so kind and friendly and accommodating. Before our stay, I had asked the inn keepers if they could accommodate my food allergies for breakfast (no gluten, dairy or eggs) because I generally don't eat out for breakfast - there are so few breakfast foods that I can eat, so I don't bother. They quickly replied with a - no problem! And, I was SO pleasantly surprised on both mornings of our stay! They went above and beyond making me such delicious food for breakfast and even took the time to select snacks for our room that were respectful of my allergies. I would give them 10 stars!

If I could give this inn 50 stars, I would. The beauty of the location and property is only matched by the loveliness of the hosts. The gorgeous rooms contain everything you could ever ask for, and more (Local Vermont snacks! Extra pillows and bedding! White noise machine!) and the breakfasts are SO GOOD. The gorgeous rooms contain everything you could ever ask for, and more (Local Vermont snacks! Extra pillows and bedding! White noise machine!) and the breakfasts are SO GOOD. They go way beyond typical oatmeal and fruit cups. If you stay here, expect caramelized grapefruit and quiche that melts in your mouth, accompanied by perfectly seared sausage and potatoes that are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Chef and host Paul is a genius. I could sit and chat with the staff all day, every day.
Thinking of going to Brattleboro? Stay here. You won't regret it in the slightest!

Great place. We were looking for a quite, quaint, high quality inn for a intimate getaway, and that is exactly what we got.
The inn grounds are lovey. The inn it self is clean and inviting. The breakfast is phenomenal. And the service is great; a nice balance of personal attentiveness and being left alone.
What gem and just what we needed/wanted.
