The Basics
Set high on 150 mountainside acres, the West Mountain Inn has been welcoming travelers with warmth and hospitality for over 40 years. The Inn offers 17 spacious guest rooms with incredible views, welcoming living rooms, a convivial tavern, and farm-to-table dining in our wood-paneled dining room. Surrounded by lush gardens and miles of trails, the Inn provides the perfect relaxing get-away. The Inn is also the perfect setting for country weddings, retreats, reunions, and events.

Set high on a mountainside overlooking the historic village of Arlington and the Green Mountains beyond, the century-old West Mountain Inn has been hosting guests for over thirty years.
Visitors to the Arlington, Vermont bed and breakfast are surrounded by spacious, antique-filled guest rooms, fantastic views, and 150 acres of gardens, lawns, woodlands and meadows. Without having to leave the Inn's property, guests can hike or snowshoe on miles of trails, flyfish, swim or canoe in the famous Battenkill River and read or relax in the Adirondack chairs on the front lawn. The Inn's wood-paneled diningroom provides the perfect setting for the lavish country breakfasts and sumptuous 5-course dinners created daily by our award-winning chef.

Dining here at the Inn is a delicious part of your stay. Chef Jeff Scott prepares fine New England fare with only the freshest of ingredients. Everything served is made in our kitchen using local, organic produce, free-range meats and poultry, seasonal game, local cheeses and dairy products, fresh-daily fish and home-baked breads, pastries and desserts. Dinner starts with an Artisan Cheese Selection in the Bar, followed by dinner in our romantic wood-paneled dining room with fireplace, candle light and fabulous views. The Inn serves a sumptuous, multi-course breakfast each morning with fresh-baked muffins, omelets, pancakes and even dessert!

Our Main Inn building has 14 unique rooms and suites. All rooms have private baths, most have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, some have fireplaces, others have porches, some have separate sitting rooms, other have additional sleeping rooms - but they are ALL spacious and lovely! We also have a separate building with 3 Townhouse Apartments - each with 2 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen - perfect for families or longer stays!

Take a bike ride along river road, watch the wildlife and coast through covered bridges. End the day with an exquisitely prepared fireside dinner in our romantic dining room.

Our grounds include romantic garden ceremony sites, our 100 year old Vermont barn, and our mountainside meadow for tented weddings of up to 300 guests. The Inn building includes our lovely dining room for smaller receptions as well as 17 guest rooms for you and your guests to enjoy. West Mountain Inn provides everything you'll need to make sure your day is perfect, including catering, bar, staffing, rental equipment and planning services. For destination weddings, families may take over all of the inn's rooms and enjoy full multi-day event from the rehearsal dinner to wedding brunch. Or, we also offer our beautiful ceremony and reception sites for the wedding day only.
