The Basics
Foxfield Inn is a small bed & breakfast with only five guest rooms. On our three-acre property, we provide ample space for social distancing in a tranquil environment. Escape the hectic pace of daily life at my inn, which is located in the beautiful horse country just outside of Charlottesville.

It’s the perfect place to get away for a change of pace, from visiting award-winning wineries, breweries, and cideries to outdoor activities like hiking, horseback riding, or hot air ballooning over the Albermarle County countryside and Blue Ridge Mountains. History and architecture buffs can visit three Presidential homes, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, James Monroe’s Highland, and James Madison’s Montpelier, plus the University of Virginia. Charlottesville, with UVA, its Cavaliers sports teams, rapidly growing Arts and Artisan community, galleries, antiques, and food specialty shops, is only 8 miles away. Its many restaurants range from casual ‘pub grub’ to elegant, offering creative cuisines from Contemporary American and Southern to Mediterranean, French, and Ethnic.
Guests at Foxfield Inn choose from five contemporary guest rooms, four of which have romantic gas fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. All guest rooms offer a view of the garden, fine linens, robes and slippers, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, plus a Bose sound system and complimentary WiFi. Guests are treated to gourmet three-course breakfasts each morning, and welcomed in the afternoon with cookies, fruit, and hot and cold beverages. For guests’ convenience, all common rooms and guestrooms are located on the ground floor. Our amenities and location and helped make our B&B in Virginia rank as one of the best places to stay in Virginia.

We love breakfast here at Foxfield Inn. Beautifully prepared and presented, our breakfasts are our gifts to you to start your day in a special way!
We welcome you to a three course breakfast each day from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday - Friday and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Coffee, a wide assortment of teas, and hot chocolate are available 24/7 in our guest pantry. If you need an earlier breakfast, we offer a continental breakfast or breakfast to-go.
Our creative menus feature many fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We love to get our eggs and meat from Polyface Farm which raises healthy organic products in ways that promote responsible agriculture and ecological stewardship.
Begin your first meal of the day with seasonal fruit, a house-made bakery item and a glass of juice. Then enjoy a hot entrée: sweet one day, savory the next, with or without meat. We believe that breakfast is not complete without a sweet ending so after a savory main dish we treat you to a small bite of tasty dessert finale. Enjoy!

Foxfield Inn includes five distinctive guest rooms for your lodging accommodations. We have designed each guest room with unique decor including garden, bird or hunt country themes. All guest rooms have views of our park-like grounds, private baths, and handcrafted queen-size beds built by a local craftsman. Guest room amenities include luxurious bedding, robes and slippers, Bose sound system, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Four deluxe rooms offer romantic double Jacuzzi whirlpool tubs, walk-in showers, and cozy gas fireplaces. Our more traditional fifth room has a traditional shower/tub combination. All guest rooms and common rooms are on a single floor and offer complete privacy.

Policies
Our goal is to provide our guests with a warm and relaxing environment. Check-in is between 4-7pm and check out is by 11am. We accept children over the age of 12 years (there is a $25 charge per night for an additional person in the room). Smoking is not permitted inside the inn. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets.
Room rates are based on the day of the week and the season and do not include state and local taxes (10.3%). A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. Final payment is due at check-out.
Cancellations must be made by phone at least 14 days prior to arrival. Deposits will be refunded less a $20 processing fee for cancellations made before the 14-day period. No reservation refunds if cancelled less than 14 days prior to your reservation. You are responsible and will be charged for the entire stay unless we can re-book the room. If we do re-book the room, your deposit will be refunded minus a $20 processing fee.

The Foxfield Inn is the perfect romantic setting for your elopement or renewing your vows. We specialize in creating intimate celebrations, so we require booking room(s), and the maximum number of guests possible is 10. Our Gathering Room or gazebo and gardens provide a choice of elegant settings for your ceremony. Then celebrate by sharing a toast and a delicious cake. Relax and let us take care of the details for you!
