As we drove away the morning of checkout, we felt like time had stood still during our romantic getaway. The paddock apartment was a refuge from our busy lives. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was elegantly appointed, and having a bidet was a nice luxury. The kitchenette was provisioned with everything we needed. But, while we could have stayed in the apartment, we needed to check out the main house. We used the theater to watch a movie. We had an amazing film experience with snacks and snuggled up in a lap blanket on the recliners. We peeked into the Speakeasy and game room which were fun spots to explore.
The website and welcome steered us to check out local spots that met our food tastes and desire for fun. The house has a concierge desk with so many suggestions and materials to add.
I would give them more stars if I could!

My wife and I enjoyed a week in October at The Pillow & Paddock B&B. The property is beautiful, the accommodations are wonderful, and our hostess went above all expectations. We rented the Pillow & Paddock home and it exceeded expectations on every level. The communication with host, amenities, comfort and unique surroundings was a big "win" with my whole family who came into the area for a wedding. They have a separate apartment for people who have pets. It was beautiful and comfortable. The rain shower and bath were perfect! The speakeasy is really fun and well stocked. We made a cocktail and sat out on the front porch rocking chairs at the end of the day. The whole Inn is beautifully decorated and does not disappoint!. Shannon is very friendly and engaging and does a wonderful job making you feel welcome. Also the horses and pigs are an added bonus to your visit! I highly recommend this B&B when visiting the La Grange and Louisville area.

The charm of Pillow and Paddock simply cannot be put into words. We stayed in the Paddock apartment and all my cowgirl dreams came true.
This place is amazing. You can soak in a gigantic tub while listening to the horses whinny outside your window. Escape to the prohibition era to a hidden speakeasy in the basement. Curl up with a book beside one of the multiple fire pits...See More

This place is amazing. You can soak in a gigantic tub while listening to the horses whinny outside your window. Escape to the prohibition era to a hidden speakeasy in the basement. Curl up with a book beside one of the multiple fire pits and listen to the birdsong.
I was consistently wowed by Shannon’s attention to detail. Anything you could possibly want was provided. Not only that, but the item often turned out being antique, bespoke, and of the highest quality.
Pillow and Paddock is an extremely idyllic setting. As a native Kentuckian, i think I can say that the area boasts all the best things Kentucky has to offer. Beautiful green pastures, a babbling creek, the charming little train loving town of La Grange, proximity to Louisville.
If you like nice things, this is your place. If you like animals, this is your place. And if you like relaxing, this is your place.
Just book it!
