Tour Horse Farms and Visit the Kentucky Horse Park near Lexington Kentucky

The bluegrass hills of Lexington Kentucky are exceedingly beautiful, and home to world-class horse farms and attractions like the Kentucky Horse Park.  This summer is a wonderful time to visit this part of Kentucky, and maybe even do a little horseback riding for yourself!

Horses have been synonymous with Kentucky since its earliest days as a territory when frontiersmen came on horseback through the Cumberland Gap. For more than 2 centuries, Kentucky has been a hotbed for American horse racing, breeding, and shows, and the state's rolling green hills are considered to be the best place to raise these majestic animals.

The most famous of these races, of course, is the Kentucky Derby, which is held every year in the first part of May. But throughout the rest of the year, Kentucky is a great place to visit if you're interested in visiting these fabled race tracks, the many horse farms around Kentucky, and top horse-related attractions like the Kentucky Horse Park.

Lexington Kentucky, famously known as the "Horse Capital of the World," is the epicenter of all things equine in the Bluegrass State. In Lexington, you'll find two beautiful Select Registry Bed and Breakfasts. These incredible properties would be happy to welcome you this summer and to help guide you through the very best of horse country.
