Select Safe, Stay Select
The Select Registry Commitment to Quality and Safety
For nearly 50 years, Quality Assurance is what has made Select Registry distinct and differentiates our properties from other independent lodging properties. That commitment to quality continues through our new "Select Safe, Stay Select Program". The program is a self-certification program based on recommendations by the CDC, US Travel, AHLA and other industry leaders. The program is designed to help Select Registry members communicate to travelers the various enhanced cleaning, sanitation and operational procedures that are being undertaken to protect guests and staff in the era of COVID-19.
Below are some of the safety measures that properties who are participating in our “Select Safe, Stay Select” have implemented to protect you during your stay:
Select Registry Select Safe Properties are offering contactless check-in, check-out, and payment options. Staff will follow social distancing guidelines. Public area seating areas will be arranged to accommodate for safe distancing between guests of different parties and/or guest numbers in common areas will be limited to allow for safe distancing measures.
Hand sanitizer stations are provided in all public guest areas, including reception, guest entry points, and all public spaces.
Increased frequency of cleaning of high traffic areas, including extra attention to high traffic areas and frequent touch points, following CDC guidelines and using EPA approved cleaning products. All staff have received education and training on COVID-19 prevention measures, proper hand washing and wear appropriate PPE according to local or state regulations.
Guest rooms will include disinfectant/sanitizing wipes. Enhanced cleaning protocols that are in accordance with CDC guidelines are in place and include extra attention to high touch areas. All rooms are sealed after cleaning. Items requested by the guest will be delivered in a contactless manner. When possible, rooms are left empty for 24-72 hours between guest stays.
Participating member properties will be engaging in the following safety protocols as related to food and beverage service. Tables in dining rooms will be spaced to allow for social distancing (minimum of 6’ apart) and/or the number of people allowed in dining areas will be limited to allow for adequate distance between guests. Alternate areas for dining may be available to allow guests adequate separation from other patrons, including in-room dining where possible, dining outdoors on patios, porches or gardens, where available. Buffet service has been eliminated. Any snack stations will provide individually wrapped items only and all reach-in containers have been eliminated. If offered, room service will follow contactless procedures.
*Despite enhanced safety practices, an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people gather.
